ACS Limited Environmental Policy

ACS limited seeks to set a new standard for the office computer supplies industry.

Firstly, we will prevent pollution by removing completely the environmental impacts of our business operations with a further aim to, in the shortest possible period of time, position our business, utilising the latest technologies and best practices, to make a positive contribution to the environment thus enabling our clients to off-set their own business operating emissions simply by choosing ACS as their partner of choice. This will be done whilst complying with all current and future legislation.

Our commitment is to:

• Conserve water resources.
• Remove CO2 emissions from our energy requirements.
• Encourage and promote bio diversity
• Offer our unparalleled knowledge and experience to our clients
• Amend and update this policy regularly to capture new technologies and methodologies

Actions to deliver our commitments:

• All business operational waste is sorted for recycling; Green waste is composted on site; We have removed the Local Authority collection.
• All toilets are low flush toilets, with the installation of waterless urinals agreed; Feasibility study underway for the adoption of grey water capture and filtration. This will result in an almost closed loop system with only small amounts of mains water used for consumption and sewage.
• Responsibly and ethically rather than just financially choosing our energy provider has reduced emissions relating to energy production by 100% this combined with our intentions on micro-generation reduces our overall carbon footprint dramatically and offers valuable opportunities as electric vehicles become more main stream.
• Giving way to wild flower meadows where once there was landscaped, grassed areas promotes insect, plant and animal diversity whilst providing a more natural, undisturbed and aesthetically pleasing landscape.
• Sharing our knowledge, best practices and passion for the environment with our clients takes many forms. Recycling printer cartridges is a start but adoption and implementation aided by our staff of our initiatives will bring greater benefits for both business and the environment.
• Our environmental policy forms an integral part of our wider business plan. As such, all actions are reviewed and amended, as required to deliver the best outcomes.
