Exciting Framework announcements for ACS

June 30th, 2020

Written by Katy Winship

ACS are delighted to announce that we have recently won a place on the ICT Hardware and Peripherals Equipment Framework for the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).

As part of our strategic plan for IT in the Public Sector we are thrilled to have won a place on Lot 1, which is the Desktop PC Solutions, and Lot 5, which is for purchases of Multi-Purpose hardware/peripherals. With over £200 million spend going through this framework, ACS has been awarded places on both Lots running from 1st July 2020 to 30 th June 2022/2023.

Cresent Purchasing Consortium are a purchasing consortium, owned and run by the Further Education sector and has over 7,000 members. CPC operate as a not-for-profit organisation, meaning that any surpluses generated are invested back into member support and wider services.

This is a second recent win for ACS after being awarded a place in April on the new the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM6059 Framework for office and electronic supplies into the Public Sector.

As the biggest public procurement organisation in the UK the CCS use their commercial expertise to help buyers in central government and across the public and third sectors access pre-approved goods and services. Having worked in partnership with the CCS for a number of years, we are very pleased to have been added to another of their frameworks.

ACS have helped the Public Sector to achieve commercial benefits since our founding in 2008. However, being on these frameworks enables us to grow our contracted business with the likes of BBC, NDA, central government, local government, NHS and education sectors of the Public Sector.

We continue to work closely with our customers to ensure that not only budgets are maximised, but their objectives are met – for example; addressing environmental concerns by introducing minimum spend limits in order to offset carbon emissions from deliveries.

These new opportunities are very exciting for ACS and we look forward to working with the CPC and the CCS on these frameworks. We hope to offer customers not only good savings but also the efficient service that we have built our reputation on.

Over the last few months, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, ACS have been vital partners with many of our Public Sector customers by supplying PPE equipment and working from home supplies, even offering delivery to home addresses.
