Back in December it was unveiled that the Colour of the Year for 2017 was a fresh green shade—aptly named Greenery. "Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. Greenery can be seen everywhere this season - from interior and make-up trends to fashion and editorial-like it or not this colour is definitely on trend!
According to Pantone.com Greenery is "a refreshing and revitalizing shade and symbolic of new beginnings" which is exactly one of the reasons that this colour was chosen in our brand design from the beginning, we wanted to be bold, fresh and exciting and green has all those implications as well as promoting growth and trust.
It has however seen some backlash, with not everyone being keen on the green:
If like Jojo, Liz and Aaron Greenery isn't for you then take a look at Pantone's colour predictions for what's going to be hot this Spring and be on trend like us. Pale Dogwood? Pink Yarrow? Kale!? Nah - Island Paradise sounds good to us!
